プログラミングの場面では、縦書きの裏返った半角カナや注音符号が登場する。これは ウォシャウスキー兄弟に日本のPCでは縦書きでプログラミングしていると、日本人のスーパーバイザーが吹き込んだのが原因である（映画パンフより）が、その当人の正体は秘密にされている。
